Welcome to the Get Involved NPCA online engagement portal! We are thrilled to invite you to this space where you will learn more about our partnership with local public libraries and how you can get your hands on an NPCA NaturePlus Pass.
About the program:
The NPCA remains committed to ensuring equitable access to greenspace for peoples and communities across the watershed. We partnered with local municipal libraries to provide access to conservation areas by loaning out our NaturePlus passes. Currently, fees apply at various of these conservation areas and this great pass allows participants to visit natural hidden gems at no cost.
In early 2024 each participating location received twice the amount of passes to rent out. The total amount of passes available is 120!
Passes can be rented for one week and are available on a first-come, first-served basis at local library branches and facilities, often accompanied by nature backpacks complete with binoculars and guidebooks.
Since 2021, the NaturePlus Passes have been borrowed hundreds of times and we are honoured that visitors have chosen to step into nature with us, at an NPCA Conservation Area!

Thank you for visiting NPCA conservation areas with the NaturePlus Pass! We truly hope you enjoyed your experience and that we will see you again soon.
Please consider completing this short 7-minute survey as it will help us learn more about you, which parks you visited, and what you enjoyed about the adventure. The results of this survey will be used to improve the Library NaturePlus Pass Loaner Program and explore future opportunities.
AS A THANK YOU...
As a token of appreciation for completing this survey, participants can choose to enter their name into a draw to win a Nature Backpack full of NPCA swag and handy items that are great for your next outdoor adventure (it may contain a nature or bird watching book, first aid kit, water bottle, t-shirt, and more).
If you would like to participate, please provide your name, phone number and email address at the end of the survey. By providing these details, your survey responses are no longer considered anonymous.

Conservation in Niagara: Experiencing Nature in Your Backyard
Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority's conservation areas have much to offer whether it’s natural heritage features, rich local history, beautiful hiking trails or recreational activities for all ages.
On September 22, Kerry Royer, the NPCA's Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator, joined the Grimsby Public Library for a recorded Zoom presentation on the work of the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority, focused on special projects, ecology, species at risk, volunteering and partnerships.
