Will Chippawa Creek and Long Beach Conservation Area campgrounds be opening for the season?

    Seasonal and overnight camping opportunities at Chippawa Creek and Long Beach Conservation Areas will soon open for the 2022 season.

    What are the Rules and Regulations for the Campgrounds?

    When in season, visitors are asked to follow these guidelines when at NPCA conservation areas.

    In order to camp at NPCA campgrounds, all adults in the group must complete the NPCA Transient Camping COVID-19 screening form (available at time of reservation).

    All visitors must follow Conservation Area Rules & Regulations:

    • Practice physical distance when possible
    • Stay on the trails, step off only if needed to allow others to pass safely
    • Washroom use is limited to one family/household at a time to ensure physical distancing can be practiced
    • Keep pets on leash and clean up after them  
    • Do not litter
    • Alcohol is prohibited in day-use areas
    • Take trash with you when leaving the property
    • Respect wildlife and plant-life 
    • All day-use visitors must vacate by 8 p.m. 
    • Do not trespass on private properties adjacent to NPCA conservation areas

    I am a seasonal camper with items in storage at the campground. Am I still able to access my property?

    Yes, please contact the conservation area directly by phone or email. Limited access will be made available for campers to either access or remove their property.

    What are your policies on cancellations?

    To extend your booking, make changes or cancel your reservation, view your booking details or view site availability online at www.npca.ca or contact the conservation area directly by phone during office hours of operation:

    All campsite reservations are subject to a $12.00 non-refundable booking fee. A 3-night minimum stay is required on holiday weekends (Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic, Labour Day, and Thanksgiving long weekends.)

    Multiple reservations in the same name for the same time period are not permitted. Reservations cannot be assigned from one person to another person at time of arrival. A $10 change fee will apply.

    Cancellations

    Once a reservation has been confirmed, any changes and cancellations are subject to applicable fees. Any change to the booking is subject to a $10.00 administration fee.

    A minimum $12.00 fee will be charged for all site cancellations. Visitors must cancel outside of 72 hours prior to arrival date to receive a full refund less booking fee and cancellation fee.

    Reservations cancelled less than 72 hours prior to the booking arrival date will forfeit one night camping or the minimum stay requirement.

    No Shows

    Campers are considered “No Show” as of 8:00 pm on date of arrival unless arrangements have been made directly with the park for late arrival. Refunds are not issued in the case of a “No Show”.
