The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority is in the process of updating floodplain mapping for the Welland River.
An important part of this process is engaging our community, particularly those who live in the vicinity of the Welland River.

1. Completing form found below
2. Attending a Town Hall Meeting (no registration required)
3. Dropping off written comment at 250 Thorold Road West in Welland

Please reach out to Steve Miller Senior Manager, Water Resources at smiller@npca.ca and he will be able to provide you with these. If you are unsure, we do recommend you attend an info session.
Do you have maps of the study are that I could preview to see if we are located in the buffer study zone or not? In 2016 the buffer area was 500m. Is it still? Our property has wetland significance but we are outside of the buffer zone by Morris Road between Carl Road and Young Roads in Niagara Falls. Does this Welland River Floodplain Plan include our property? Do we need to attend an info session? Thanks
