Welcome to the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority's online engagement platform, Get Involved NPCA.

Thank you for your interest in the Wainfleet Wetlands & Quarry Conservation Area. The NPCA has owned and managed this popular conservation area since 1978. Over the past several years, and even more so in 2020, there has been a significant increase in visitors and pressures on the property.

In a joint effort with the Township of Wainfleet, we are launching this public awareness campaign to gather community perspective on future aspirations, stewardship engagement and future management uses for the conservation area. Your participation and feedback are greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your interested in the Wainfleet Wetlands & Quarry Conservation Area. We appreciate your collaboration with this survey. 

    As you know, 2020 was a unique year for many NPCA Conservation Areas, as the year saw a great increase in the number of visitors and new pressures on these greenspaces. The case of the Wainfleet Wetlands & Quarry property was quite unique, as the park welcomed visitors from near and far, in large numbers never seen before.

    This online survey will take approximately 10 minutes of your time. The survey will remain open for 30 days, from February 22 to March 22, 2021. The results will be collected and analyzed by the NPCA and the Township of Wainfleet, and will help inform short-term and long-term decisions and solutions for the park. 

    We sincerely appreciate your feedback and suggestions in supporting the continual improvement of the Wainfleet Wetlands & Quarry property.
